The origins of a dream

Antonio Monaco, engineer, began his professional career in an international studio in Shanghai, where he deals with computer graphics in the field of architectural visualization. He then moves to Doha where he follows the virtualization of a project of laminated wood accommodation facilities on the water.

Back in Italy, he is part of the team that develops the 3D model and the animations for the new stadium of Roma and for some sections of the new Rfi high speed Naples – Bari railway. After a brief period of work in London, he returns to Italy where, as technical director, he follows the development of virtual simulations for projects for Volkswagen and Canale 5.

Monaco was president of the Culture and Innovation Commission of the Campania Regional Youth Forum and directed panels in the field of innovative technologies to the States General of Campania. He developed the Merlino S.A.P.E.R. which was selected as good practice for innovative solutions and digital services for the school world, as part of the “Digital Solidarity” initiative.

In addition, he is a founding member of 012 Tech, the first innovative consortium in Italy made up of the best start-ups in Southern Italy specializing in enabling technologies for industry 4.0. In December 2020, Monaco obtained the master’s degree in Digital Project Management from Talent Gardern.

In the meantime – in July 2017 – he decides to make his dream come true, founding GAV Projects which signs his first project with the development of two museum installations at the MAV in Herculaneum, the largest Archaeological Museum in Europe. GAV is also a partner of Roche Bobois for international projects in the United Arab Emirates.

The GAV is registered in the special register of innovative start-ups and is incubated at 012 Factory.
